About Ōhiwa Black Diamond Truffle
Grown on the shores of Ōhiwa Harbour in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty, Ōhiwa Black Diamond Truffles produce premium black Périgord truffles celebrated for their distinctive aroma, richness and seasonal character.
Cultivated beneath oak and hazelnut trees and harvested during New Zealand’s winter season, each truffle reflects time, craftsmanship and the unique conditions of the region.
This season, Bistro Lago partners with Ōhiwa Black Diamond Truffles to celebrate the ingredient through two experiences.

THE TRUFFLE EXPERIENCE
For one-night only, join us for an exclusive multi-course dining experience celebrating truffles in all its forms.
Created by Executive Chef Rudolf W. Segers, each course has been thoughtfully designed to showcase the depth, complexity and versatility of Ōhiwa Black Diamond Truffles throughout the evening. Guests will also hear directly from the grower, sharing the story behind the harvest and the journey from farm to table.

TRUFFLE MONTH
The celebration continues throughout August.
To honour truffle season, Bistro Lago will feature a special collection of à la carte dishes inspired by Ōhiwa Black Diamond Truffles, available for the entire month of August.
Designed to showcase the ingredient in a more relaxed format, guests can enjoy seasonal dishes that highlight the richness and character of New Zealand truffles.
