An evening celebrating the women shaping the future of New Zealand wine.

Hosted by Bistro Lago in the intimate surrounds of Cellar Lounge at Hilton Lake Taupo, Women in Wine brings together two distinctive voices in modern winemaking – Julianne Brogden of Collaboration Wines and Emma Easthope of Easthope Family Winegrowers.

Rooted in Hawke’s Bay, both women share a philosophy centered around authenticity, thoughtful winemaking and a deep connection to the land. Julianne’s small-batch Collaboration Wines are crafted with a ‘small but beautiful’ approach, site-driven wines that reflect both vineyard and grower, shaped through minimal intervention and meticulous detail. With more than three decades of winemaking experience spanning Hawke’s Bay, Napa Valley and Margaret River, her wines are known for their texture, personality and quiet elegance.

Meanwhile at Easthope, Emma and her family produce wines guided by land, season and instinct. Their vineyard philosophy embraces freedom over convention – allowing the vineyard to speak naturally through wines that are expressive, restrained and transparently reflective of place. Their acclaimed Chenin Blanc has recently gained recognition on the national stage, further cementing Easthope as one of Hawke’s Bay’s exciting contemporary producers.

Throughout the evening guests will enjoy a specially curated multi-course menu by Executive Chef Rudolf W. Segers, thoughtfully paired alongside wines from both producers, with insights and stories shared throughout the night.
